ADF was established to honour the life of Alvy Derks and to continue her legacy of empowering and promoting the rights and aspirations of vulnerable groups across the globe.
Alvy Derks Tai A Pin was born in Paramaribo, Suriname on July 9, 1937. She got married to Freek Derks on November 21, 1964; whom she had three children with ( Inez, Erwin, and Axel). Several children have benefited from her good will and social works on the African continent especially, Ghana in the western part of Africa.
